College Based Fees (CBF)
College Based Fees of $200 are assessed to students registered as majors in the Biological Sciences Department each quarter. Faculty (and students) can draw from these funds for scientific instrumentation and equipment, computing equipment, and faculty development.

College Based Fees are to be used specifically to benefit Biological Sciences, Ecology and Systematic Biology, and Microbiology majors and to meet needs associated with these degree programs. Examples of potential priorities include scientific instrumentation and equipment, computing equipment, access to classes and student research. Priorities for expending fee revenues are set by the student members of the department's College Based Fee committee.
